Qualifications, professional registration, and accreditation. Successful applicants will gain a dual Award Bachelor's degree from IBES and UCAM.

Programme Structure

This programme combines key knowledge in a specific industry or sector with a comprehensive Computer Science curriculum. It will provide students with the skills and understanding to create and implement technology-driven applications tailored to the needs of a particular industry or topic area. The Top UP B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science includes taught modules and a final Applied Project, a total of 60 ECTS credits as outlined below:

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for this B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science final year top-up programme are:

  • Typically, applicants should have completed a relevant Diploma or Higher Diploma in a related field and be recognized by the university. These qualifications should have a total of 120 ECTS or an equivalent of two academic years of study at a recognised institution. A qualification from a recognised university is a degree or diploma that has been awarded by an institution that is accredited or otherwise recognised by a relevant authority of the country. No specific syllabus mapping is required but successful applicants should have covered the core modules of Computer Science.
  • Demonstrate English Language proficiency to participate in the programme taught in English. Proficiency can be recognized based on completion of any programme with a minimum duration of 6 months and taught and assessed in the English Language or IELTS 5.5 or equivalent such as TOEFL.
  • Students that have done a qualification examined in English at European Qualification Framework (EQF) Level 2 and above would satisfy the English requirement.
  • The Regulated English Test administered by ESOL Awards and accredited by the Scottish Credit Qualification Framework (SCQF) which is aligned with the CEFR grades of B1+ and above will satisfy the English Language requirement. Please contact IBES for details.
