Programme Aims
The MBA programme aims to develop and enhance understanding of emerging theories and practices in contemporary management, with an increasing emphasis on strategic and digital management. It facilitates a critical exploration of the role of business in a complex, multi-stakeholder society.
Specifically, the programme aims to:
Produce strategic, digitally capable, entrepreneurial, and ethical leaders.
Develop advanced management and enterprise development capabilities.
Enable learners to lead complex organisations and transformation initiatives.
Integrate theory, practice, and applied research at the postgraduate level.
Prepare graduates for senior managerial, leadership, or doctoral progression.

Note: For specialisms in Hospitality, Tourism, Healthcare, and Logistics/Supply Chain, candidates must demonstrate either 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience in the field OR formal certificated learning in that area.
Assessments
The programme uses a 100% coursework assessment strategy. Assessment instruments include:
- Written Assignments / Management Reports
- Professional Portfolios and Reflective Logs
- Case Study Analyses
- Simulation and Scenario-Based Tasks
- Strategic Project Plans and Business Plans
- Capstone Project (7,500-12,000 words) integrating learning in the chosen specialisation.
Each taught module offers assessment options (e.g., Strategy Report, Portfolio, Case Study Analysis) of approximately 3,000 words.
Entry Requirements
Applicants may be admitted based on the following criteria:
Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree qualification in any subject from a recognised institution OR a professional qualification equivalent to a degree.
Work Experience: Minimum of two years of working experience (for applicants with a professional qualification).
English Language Proficiency: Demonstrated via:
IELTS overall band of 5.5 or equivalent.
An undergraduate or professional qualification taught and assessed in English.
Passing the LEB SELT Awards English test at B2 level (contact IBES for details).
Advanced Standing / Exemptions / Credits Transfer (APL)
The programme considers the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) for admission with advanced standing. This applies to both certificated and uncertificated prior learning. A formal panel makes academic judgments on APL applications, and regular cohort admissions with advanced standing require an Academic Progression Agreement.

Mode of Delivery

Notional Hours
Total notional hours for the programme are 1,804 hours (based on 90 ECTS, where 1 ECTS = approximately 20 hours of student work).
Breakdown per component:
Each Taught Module (7.5 ECTS each): 188 hours
Blended Mode: 12 hrs (tutorials) + 8 hrs (online) + 168 hrs (independent learning)
Online Mode: 8 hrs (online) + 182 hrs (independent learning)
Capstone Project (30 ECTS): 700 – 750 hours (completed over 4-6 months)
Total Study Hours for the MBA: Minimum 1,804 hours (8 modules x 188 hrs + 700 hrs for Capstone).
